The Game

The Game
The similarities are astounding. After the problem with WoW Tuesday I must not have got logged out the server properly because it wouldn’t let me log back in with that character. So I started playing my Undead Mage on Skullcrusher. It was a nice change of pace and playing the Horde side I get to do quests I haven’t done before. Also did anyone see Lost last night? Wow that show just keeps getting better. Update: Maybe I should specify that for me to get a Mac Mini you have to follow the link, sign up and then complete one of the offers listed. Just signing up doesn’t count. I hope this clears up any confusion. I also took down the iPod Shuffle link. I’m not greedy, if I got a Mac Mini that would be awesome enough. Multitasking

Multitasking
Today is the first of my comics for Macs campaign. I have had three people sign up already which means I just need seven more. Another thing I found out from Brad is that once you sign up for my offer you can refer 10 of your friends and get your own Mac Mini. I had no idea. It’s like a pyramid of value! One of the features of World of Warcraft is that you can customize the user interface all you want. Probably the most common customization package out there is Cosmos. I also use a couple other user mods I found out there. The problem is when Blizzard releases a new patch you have to either wait for new versions of the mods to be released, or manually change the version number on a bunch of files, and that doesn’t always mean it will work. Even after I redownloaded Cosmos when I started playing there was something up with the servers because when I was in Ironforge all of the NPCs disappeared. This means I couldn’t use the auction house or even take a gryphon out of there. My teleporting stone wouldn’t even do anything. I can’t wait until they get these server issues fixed because it is very annoying in an otherwise awesome game. Continue reading "Multitasking"

My "Ha Ha" Funny Valentine

My "Ha Ha" Funny Valentine
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, the most discriminatory holiday we have. Not much to update, I’m still playing Warcraft every chance I get. Notice how I call it Warcraft now and don’t refer to it by its initials WoW. At first I used the initials because I didn’t want people to get confused and think I was playing Warcraft II or III, but now WoW is so popular and exponetially better than those games that I think it has earned the title “just Warcraft”. Master of my Domain

Master of my Domain
Yeah I’m going for it. Place your bets. So my company has been hosting a training class all this week. We take the trainees out for lunch and dinner every day. I am getting a little tired of eating out. At this point I would prefer a hot pocket while I play World of Warcraft. When I have more time I am going to start posting recaps of our Friday night poker games. I think I am also go to add a scoreboard so we can see who is winning consistantly. Continue reading "Master of my Domain"

While I Was Out

While I Was Out
Just in case you were wondering this is why there hasn’t been a comic. Today’s comic features special guest stars The Raj and Heather. I’ll let you figure out which is which. So yeah I finally got the TV I always wanted. Having HDTV for the first time I found myself watching anything that was in HD. Suddenly Trading Spaces and The District seemed interesting. Now that the novelty has worn off I have gone back to World of Warcraft. Brad and I have just created new characters on the server BloodHoof. Continue reading "While I Was Out"

Climbing the Ladder

Climbing the Ladder
I’ll let Brad explain this comic. One thing I haven’t posted on here is this great collection software I found. It’s called Collectorz and they have programs to track your movie, video game, comic or CD collection. I love organizing things and statistics so these programs are great for me. There are dozens of fields so you can keep any information you want about each item. Adding a movie or video game is easy because you just have to enter a title and all the other info is filled in from the internet, except for my Japanese games that I had to add manually. There are no online databases for comics however so you have to enter that info in yourself. So what do I do with this info? I don’t know, its kinda cool to see which years I bought the most games or which genre I have the most of. I also keep track of my progress in each game so I feel like I am accomplishing something. You can also track who you loaned a game or movie to. It is a little pricey, $40 for each program or discounts for two or more. But if you’re like me and want to know instantly what your high score in Frogger is, it might be worth checking out. Continue reading "Climbing the Ladder"

Tilty

Tilty
We’ve been playing a lot of poker lately. I’m suprised I haven’t done a comic about it sooner. Over the weekend some of us went to Ohayocon. It was bigger than last year. I restrained from buying anything, but we did get a bunch of pictures of people dressed up. I hope to get those pictures up this week. I used my Christmas gift certificates to buy Resident Evil 4. I know I have made fun of the first one in the past, but RE4 is by far the best survival horror game I’ve ever played. The controls are tight, the visuals are incredible and the whole game is better than most horror movies I’ve seen. If you’re like me and never really tried Resident Evil, RE4 is a good place to start. Continue reading "Tilty"
