Commencement

We’ve got a new corporate drone in the real world now. Resistance is pointless. It was a busy weekend. Friday night was the Tiger release and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was an excellent movie, I’ll put my full review in the podcast Thursday. Saturday we had K-Dog’s graduation, and then last night was the triumphant and hilarious return of Family Guy. I installed Tiger last night and decided to erase my hard drive and start over. I had a bunch of apps I wanted to get rid of because they were taking up space (Virtual PC). Dashboard is pretty cool and I can’t wait to see what widgets people come up with. The only problem I am having since the install is that my mouse pointer doesn’t seem as smooth as it used to be. I installed the Microsoft drivers for my wireless intellimouse, and turned the speed all the way up but it still doesn’t feel right. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Scare Tactics

Sure enough, it is the same dude. I’m not sure what I should write on here. I am going to talk about a lot of stuff on the podcast tonight. Last weekend was pretty fun. We had Raj’s birthday party and he came up with a game similar to the old show Nick Arcade. He had a gameboard and we played video games for points. The hardest was trying to guess video game music. It was a good party though. Continue reading "Scare Tactics"

My Favorite Games

Here’s your present: the biggest Bitsmack comic yet! It seems like Christmas has came out of nowhere, punched me in the gut and ran away. I have a couple more presents to wrap and I’m looking forward to exchanging gifts with my friends and family. Thursday I have to “work” until noon and then we have the company Christmas party. I hope I don’t get snowed in and forced to stay home. Hmmm… I don’t think my sarcasm was obvious enough in that last sentance. Oh well, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! That last one wasn’t sarcastic, just in case you were confused from before. Continue reading "My Favorite Games"

Truth, Justice and The Schrodinger Equation in Quantum Cosmology

Yet another actual conversation with K-Dog. So last weekend was pretty good. My birthday party was Saturday night and we had about 14 people. Equal number of guys and girls! Some played Mario Kart 64, some played Karaoke Revolution and others decided to give me money in a couple of poker games. The Raj also invented a new way to play Win, Lose or Draw using Pictochat on the DS. Ooh, that might be a good idea for a comic. Forget I said anything. In other news I beat Super Mario 64 DS already. Somebody please release some more games for this system! Continue reading "Truth, Justice and The Schrodinger Equation in Quantum Cosmology"

Dynamite Rave

Happy Thanksgiving! For some reason the clock on the server is 5 hours fast so you can see this comic way earlier than normal. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what you are thankful for, eat a good meal with your family, and apparently in your case read internet web comics. Don’t be ashamed, own your geekiness! Anyway, I hope everyone has a great holiday! RC out. Continue reading "Dynamite Rave"

Talk to You Later

This will be the last comic for awhile. But before you start torching my house let me explain why. In the spring of 2002 I had just got out of a serious relationship and I needed something to fill that void in my life. I started Bitsmack as a video game review site and worked on writing code from the time I got home from work till the time I went to bed. That summer K-Dog moved in with me and I had an unending supply of material to do my own comic strip. Since I couldn’t draw I wrote the jokes and drew boxes for characters thinking that I would draw real characters later. The talking boxes were kind of funny so I kept with that for awhile until it slowly evolved into what you have seen recently. K-Dog moved out once school started and because of classes I started doing a new comic three days a week instead of five. I graduated in December of 2002 and moved to Columbus. I was still living alone and hanging out with a new group of friends. Then March of this year I bought a house and the comic was starting to feel like more of a chore then something I looked forward to doing. Two of my friends moved in shortly after. I cut the comic down to two days a week but it just wasn’t as fun anymore. Right now I have a great circle of friends and we’re always going out to movies or bowling or shopping or something. I don’t want to be stuck at my computer two nights a week anymore. So where do we go from here? The site Bitsmack will go on unchanged as a video game review site and our personal blog. I’m still going to do comics for Classic Gamer Magazine so the comic isn’t completely dead. I still get ideas for comics and I want to bring it back someday. I just need an extended vacation so I can get out and enjoy life. I thank you all for your support and I hope you’ll keep visiting the site until the comic comes back. Thanks! The Game of Kings

Hey, here’s a comic. Saturday we had a party for Brad and Will graduating. There were like a bunch of Devry people there plus K-Dog, Cassadi, AJ, Megan and her friend Crystal. It was a really good time. Next week I head to Lakeside for my 10th year. Which means I’m going to need some guest comics. If you think you have what it takes to entertain a bunch of geeks send your comic to [email protected]. Continue reading "The Game of Kings"

My Secret Identity

Today’s comic is inspired by all the comics I’ve been reading lately. Well actually there was just two, and one kinda sucked. I’m trying hard to decide what direction to go with the comic so I’ll leave it up to you the viewer. Should I do one shot comics about video games, movies, whatever, or should I do longer superhero type storylines? Also, I did a physical inventory of the 1st ever special edition Bitsmack T-shirts and found that there are only 18 left, 9 large and 9 x-large. If you ever considered buying one you should do it now because once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. While I may do more Bitsmack shirts this design won’t be made again.
