Gerkin’s Revenge – Part 3

Gerkin’s Revenge – Part 3
Uh yeah, I forgot to post today. Here is a comic. My 3D controller for the Saturn came today. I tried playing Nights but have yet to figure out that game. I have decided as of today I am not buying any more games or gaming accessories for the rest of 2002. Except for DDRMAX, I have to get that game, but after that.. nothing. I am also putting up some of the games I never play on ebay in a new feature I like to call: “RC’s Ebay Item of the Week.” The first item is going up later tonight. Stay Tuned for further details. Ok I’ve got my first game up on ebay. You can see it in the “item of the week” section on the left side. Continue reading "Gerkin’s Revenge – Part 3"

Gerkin’s Revenge – Part 1
I finally got the new comic up. I was going to do it when I got home at 2 am but could just not think of any good ideas. That’s not saying I came up with a good idea this morning, you can decide that for yourself. Last night I was hanging out with friends at George House and then we went to K-Dog’s dorm to play Worms on the DC. I’m thinking about doing some kind of salute to import games next week. I’ve been playing a lot of import games lately and the Japanese really do get better games than we do. Continue reading "Gerkin’s Revenge – Part 1"

Kruton has a PhD in DDR.

Kruton has a PhD in DDR.
As mentioned in today’s comic kruton won the DDR tournament last weekend. It was a close match between him and BIL, the guy who beat my high score on basic double. He’s a cool guy though and I’m glad he got second. I have to say this was the closest tournament I’ve ever seen. There were about 4 or 5 rounds where a person won by only a few perfects. All in all it was a good time and I think its going to become a monthly event in Findlay. I’ve also been playing a lot of MotoGP on Xbox Live and I have to say I’m impressed with how easy it is to get into a game. I’ve met a lot of cool people online to play against. The game itself it somewhat difficult and it takes awhile to get use to controlling a motorcycle. My Project Gotham skills didn’t transfer over to this game. CinciClassic – Part 3

CinciClassic – Part 3
Today’s comic is the final chapter of CinciClassic. The Microsoft fairy came and left 2 new beta games under my pillow. Even in my drowsy stupor the Microsoft fairy looked a lot like the UPS guy. The two games I got are demo versions of MotoGP and Whacked. I assume these demos will be included in the Xbox Live starter kit. MotoGP is the best motorcycle racing game I’ve played since… what was the last motorcycle game I’ve played? Super Hang On maybe. Ok, so this game is better than Super Hang On. Whacked on the other hand was obviously thought up by a guy who lives in my toilet, collecting my poop and turning it into video games. I thought he had learned his lesson when he came up with BloodWake and I beat him repeatedly with a plunger, but I guess not. Continue reading "CinciClassic – Part 3"

CinciClassic – Part 2

CinciClassic – Part 2
Today’s comic represents the new Bemani addiction kruton and I share. As he mentioned yesterday, at CinciClassic we had a chance to play a bunch of different rhythm games for the Japanese PS2. I have to say Drummania is my favorite. It was also at the Forest Fair arcade. So now I have to start saving up my money for a Japanese PS2. I’m thinking about selling some of my old games. I’ll put a list on the site soon. The More You Know

The More You Know
Today’s comic is a public service announcement on behalf of all gamers. Anyway, I almost headed out the door without doing today’s post. Goz and I have the truck packed up and are ready to head to Cinciclassic. I’m pretty excited because I’ve never been to a really good classic gaming event and I hear good things about this one. If all goes well I’ll have pictures from Cinciclassic and Squidfest up next week. Continue reading "The More You Know"

Pimpin’ ain’t easy

Pimpin’ ain’t easy
Part 2 of Squidfest is referring to kruton “pimping out” his computer to everyone there. Anyone who didn’t already have Battlefield 1942 could get it off his machine. I have to say the program he uses to mount CD images works really well. To keep things legal we all made sure we deleted the game when we were done. This week I’ve been making updates to the site and working on building my secondary computer. I know we’ve mentioned it a lot already but I’m looking forward to CinciClassic and still have some preparations to uh… prepare. Continue reading "Pimpin’ ain’t easy"
