Up Up Down Down Yada Yada
Today’s comic will not give you 30 lives. A week from today TheRogg, Goz and I are heading to WizardWorld in Philidelphia to meet Kevin Smith. I have no idea what to say to my idol when I meet him. I think I’ll be able to restrain myself from becoming a total gushing fanboy, but we’ll see. Speaking of comics, did anyone see the Smallville season finale this week? It was a pretty good cliffhanger and I have no idea what will happen next fall. Annoying website of the day: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=scorpluvr Goz and I came across this site while trying to find the “Like a Hurricane” remix on the Coors commercial. It has to be one of the ugliest websites I’ve seen in awhile. Lucikly we did find the Wingman song at another website. I love that commercial. Warning: trying to read any text on the above page could cause headaches, vomiting and/or impotance. Continue reading "Up Up Down Down Yada Yada"

Today’s comic is a tribute to the end of a great show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ok, so the comic has little to do with the show. It still was a great run.

The $8.75 Red Pill

The .75 Red Pill
You have already decided whether or not to read today’s comic. You just need to figure out why you made that choice. The Matrix Reloaded is two movies in one! You have an action movie with pretty cool special effects, then you also have an hour long psudo-psychology lecture. These two movies really have no relationship with one another. I enjoyed the movie and want to see it again, but I think it was way too preachy at times. What do you think? Join our discussion in the forums. Continue reading "The $8.75 Red Pill"

Wheel of Density… er Destiny

Wheel of Density… er Destiny
I would like to buy a vowel. Tonight is the Matrix and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m hoping this is the “Empire Strikes Back” of Matrix movies. A real “Morpheus frozen in carbonite, Neo gets his hand cut off, finds out Agent Smith is his father” kind of movie. I probably won’t even be able to talk about the Matrix Reloaded until next week because I don’t won’t to ruin it for all the normal people that won’t see it till this weekend. If you like DDR or have no idea what it is you should check out www.bemanistyle.com. It’s a great site for all things Bemani. The Barter System

The Barter System
Today’s comic is not a form of currency. I had a pretty uneventful weekend, though I did get to play some games and get caught up on my recorded TV shows. In another week or so I won’t have hardly any shows to watch. K-Dog supposedly had a DDR tournament in Defiance and hopefully he’ll let us know how that went. Continue reading "The Barter System"

Show us your moves… again

Show us your moves… again
Today’s comic is not an exaggeration. Since I was able to beta test XBOX Live last year they gave me a year of service for free. That being said, I haven’t actually used it for months. The only game I have is Mechassult. Even though there are some interesting games I’d like to play the headset is not as cool as you would expect. Everyone I come into contact with can be grouped into three catagories:
 1. People who spout profanity every other word
 2. Nerds that are so annoying they couldn’t possibly have real friends
 3. Children who are also annoying because they talk too loud and/or use the stupid voice masking
Sure you can always mute someone who is annoying you but this isn’t very feasible when you are playing a racing game like MotoGP. Ultimately, if I ever get another XBOX Live game I probably won’t bother plugging in the headset. Continue reading "Show us your moves… again"

Porting is fun!

Porting is fun!
Today’s comic is based on a conversation K-Dog and I had. He said he would rather get Splinter Cell for PS2 because it has an additional level. I said I would rather get the XBOX version because the graphics are better and Splinter Cell is known for its incredible lighting effects. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think graphics are more important than gameplay. But, when it comes to a game that is recognized for its graphics, that’s more important to me than an extra level. In other news, my drum controller came for Taiko no Tatsujin. I am impressed with how well it is made. It is actually as loud as a drum when you play. I’ll put up my full review of the game soon. A comic based on a movie based on a comic

A comic based on a movie based on a comic
It’s hard to do a comic based on such an awesome movie. I could have done a comic based on K-Dogg introducing me to the game Pop N Music, but there are enough comics about me getting addicted to some game. Saturday, Taiko no Tatsujin came in the mail. The intro movie is hilarious, possibly because it’s all in Japanese and looks like a lot of completely unrelated images. I’ve played it with the dual shock controller because the drum controller won’t arrive till Wednesday. So far it’s a pretty cool game. I also got DDRMAX2 and the only complaint K-Dogg and I have is that it is missing the song “A Minute”, which is one of my favorites in the arcade. Back in my day…

Back in my day…
Today’s comic teaches you while you learn. Last night the Devryguyz, Goz and I went and saw X2. My short review: awesome. I think it almost surpasses Spider-Man as the best comic book based movie. I think I actually want to go see it again it is so good. Even the previews were good, I got to see a longer Hulk trailer and of course Matrix Reloaded. There was also a trailer for The League of Extrodinary Gentlemen. I’m not familar with the comic book it’s based on, but the movie looks incredible. I’ll post more on X2 later, after more people have seen it. In other news, the Top Member for the month of April is mushroomman2004. Keep writing great reviews, you could be next! Continue reading "Back in my day…"

DDR: The Gateway Drug – Part 2

DDR: The Gateway Drug – Part 2
Drugs are bad, m’kay. Ok, I haven’t actually got this game in the mail yet but I’ve been interested ever since I first saw it last fall. “You got your drums on my video game. You got your video game on my drums.” Two great tastes have come together. Sure, there is Drummania which is a lot of fun, but my drumset controller sucks and takes up a lot of room. Fun fact of the day: If you uncoiled your small and large intestine and streched them out all the way, you would die. Continue reading "DDR: The Gateway Drug – Part 2"
