TB v. Rogg – The Verdict

Here is the conclusion of Friday’s comic. Over the weekend I got to play some horrible NES games, stay up horribly late and perform horribly at a DDR tournament. It was a good time! K-Dog and Lynex came down for DDRMME 3. Friday night we went over to the Devryguyz and played some of The Rogg’s collection of really bad NES games. There was Where’s Waldo, Heroes of the Lance and Xenophobe just to name a few. On Saturday I played in the DDR tournament. They lured me in with a tshirt for signing up. I’m sure K-Dog will post more about the tournament. Sunday I got back into playing Knights of the Old Republic. I am on this insanely hard battle versus two big creatures on the Sith world. If anyone has gotten by this let me know how you did it. 5: Implementation

I was so busy last week I couldn’t even post news. To make up for it, here’s a comic. Ok, I’m hooked on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance now that K-Dog finally explained the way you get abilities. We also got a chance to team up on a mission, that was really cool. Also as far as the tshirts I am extending the offer. I still hope to get them sent out by the end of the month. Thanks for you patience. Continue reading "5: Implementation"

Promotion

The design for the new Bitsmack T-Shirt is finished. Click here to go to the store. I think I’m finished using Cafepress. Their prices were too high and their T-Shirts weren’t that great. This time I’m taking preorders and getting a batch of shirts professionally done. The design on the shirt is basically the steps you have to take to play an NES game. Since this is the first shirt I’m not ordering a lot. You’ll have to preorder to guarantee that you’ll get one. I hope to get them sent out in September. Continue reading "Promotion"

I went to Bitsmack and all I got was this crappy tshirt

Remember when I said I wasn’t going to tell you when there was a new comic? I changed my mind. I really am working on a design for a Bitsmack retro gaming tshirt. Once I get the design and prices finalized I’ll be accepting preorders. I’m not using Cafepress to order these shirts so they will be cheaper and higher quality. K-Dog, Lynex and I went to the DDR tournament on Saturday. I’m out of practice so I just played my Neo Geo Pocket Color. The mall did have a Beatmania 2nd Mix and that made the trip worthwhile for me. I’ll let K-Dog post his full report of the tourney. He also took some pictures that we should hopefully put up soon. My Life, the Sitcom

Do I need to tell you there is a new comic today? I’m tired of thinking up things to put in this area so you’ll just have to know there’s a new comic Mon, Wed and Fri. Anyway, today’s comic is ripped straight from my life. I was in McDonalds yesterday morning and there was a kid crying cause he wanted a toy. I know nothing about kids but he appeared to be between the ages of 3 and 15. What struck me as funny is not just that the kid cried out like a bad child actor in an 80s sitcom, it was that he wanted a happy meal when they weren’t even serving lunch yet. Granted he wasn’t that old, but he should have been old enough to realize you can’t get toys at breakfast. Of course if that was true he would also be too old to cry about wanting a toy. Today’s comic is dedicated to Goz and his wife who are expecting their first offspring. We’ll be watching his/her career with great interest. Continue reading "My Life, the Sitcom"

I’ll "push back the release date" you!

Monday’s comic was delayed until today. The best shows you aren’t watching I’ve mentioned before how much I adore Cartoon Network’s adult swim lineup. Cowboy Bebop and Trigun got me hooked on anime. Well now they have some new cartoons. The Big O (Sunday 11pm) is often compared to Batman. The animation style is just like Batman the Animated Series. It’s like a big fighting robot cartoon with a slick 1940s look. Fooly Cooly (M-Th 12am) simply blew my mind. Words cannot describe this show. If I tried to tell you what it is about or why I like it, I would be degrading it by trying to give it definition. You must watch this show at least once. Blue Gender (M-Th 12:30am) hasn’t impressed me yet. A guy is frozen and wakes up to find the earth is infested with giant alien bugs. The humans that are left have (now brace yourself) giant robot suits. Granted they’ve only shown the first episode so I’m going to give it a chance. If anyone is watching these shows, let me know in the forum. I need someone to talk about Fooly Cooly with. Continue reading "I’ll "push back the release date" you!"

Now You’re Playing with Power

This is just a warmup for the real tribute. For those of you that don’t remember, there were a period of years when the popularity of the Atari 2600 dwindled and console gaming just wasn’t that great. Then the Nintendo Entertainment System was released. I remember playing Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda for the first time at a neighbors house and it was incredible. As I mentioned before this week marks the 20th Anniversary of when the Japanese NES (Famicom) was released. Continue reading "Now You’re Playing with Power"
