Move Action Wait Today’s Comic So I picked up Final Fantasy Tactics Advance just so I wouldn’t feel left out when everyone is linking up with this game. I haven’t “linked up” in quite a while. Really this is only the second game I’ve bought since I joined Gamefly a couple months ago. I’m disappointed that FFTA doesn’t have Auto Battle and Fitting Room like the original. Basically I just want a game that will play by itself. Maybe I need to borrow Xenosaga from K-Dog. Today’s comic is brought to you by the letters B and S. There hasn’t been a lot of news to post lately. We won’t see a lot of notable game releases until probably Christmas time. In the meantime, I am spending my time with Final Fantasy Tactics on the PS1. I really enjoy this game. Since it is more of a strategy game than RPG you don’t have to really concern yourself with the story. Instead you just focus on team based battles. It’s a hard game, but if there is a part I can’t get by I just play through a monster battle to level up my guys and go back to try again. If anyone has some good strategies on what jobs and abilities to use post it in the forums. What is YOUR best team? I’ve also been watching a lot of anime downloaded off the internet. I am really enjoying Hellsing, probably because it doesn’t have giant robots or school girls. Evangelion and Zone of the Enders are pretty good too. Lastly, this is going to be your last week to preorder your tshirt. If you don’t preorder you may never get one, ever. Continue reading "3: Details"

Here’s a new comic. We still need more preorders for the new Bitsmack shirt. As it stands right now, only people who preorder will get a shirt. You don’t have much time left so order now! Ok, I’ll stop talking like a commercial now. Continue reading "2: Abduction"

The design for the new Bitsmack T-Shirt is finished. Click here to go to the store. I think I’m finished using Cafepress. Their prices were too high and their T-Shirts weren’t that great. This time I’m taking preorders and getting a batch of shirts professionally done. The design on the shirt is basically the steps you have to take to play an NES game. Since this is the first shirt I’m not ordering a lot. You’ll have to preorder to guarantee that you’ll get one. I hope to get them sent out in September. Continue reading "Promotion"

Season Two, Episode 21

Season Two, Episode 21
Yesterday I bought the Simpsons Season 3 DVD. I’ve been looking forward to this one because season three has my most favorite episodes. In other DVD news, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Special Ripoff Edition was released yesterday. Just like with the first Lord of the Rings movie they plan on releasing 46 different versions where each release is more specialer than the one before. If you hold out on buying this movie, eventually a version will come out with a deleted scene where Gandolf and Anakin Skywalker have a lightsaber duel on the bridge of the Enterprise. It’s ultimately a lose/lose situation because the second you buy this version they’ll release the one with the zombie Tolkien audio commentary. You may not be able to win, but if you’re a fan at all you should at least wait until the next edition. Continue reading "Season Two, Episode 21"

I went to Bitsmack and all I got was this crappy tshirt

I went to Bitsmack and all I got was this crappy tshirt
Remember when I said I wasn’t going to tell you when there was a new comic? I changed my mind. I really am working on a design for a Bitsmack retro gaming tshirt. Once I get the design and prices finalized I’ll be accepting preorders. I’m not using Cafepress to order these shirts so they will be cheaper and higher quality. K-Dog, Lynex and I went to the DDR tournament on Saturday. I’m out of practice so I just played my Neo Geo Pocket Color. The mall did have a Beatmania 2nd Mix and that made the trip worthwhile for me. I’ll let K-Dog post his full report of the tourney. He also took some pictures that we should hopefully put up soon. My Life, the Sitcom

My Life, the Sitcom
Do I need to tell you there is a new comic today? I’m tired of thinking up things to put in this area so you’ll just have to know there’s a new comic Mon, Wed and Fri. Anyway, today’s comic is ripped straight from my life. I was in McDonalds yesterday morning and there was a kid crying cause he wanted a toy. I know nothing about kids but he appeared to be between the ages of 3 and 15. What struck me as funny is not just that the kid cried out like a bad child actor in an 80s sitcom, it was that he wanted a happy meal when they weren’t even serving lunch yet. Granted he wasn’t that old, but he should have been old enough to realize you can’t get toys at breakfast. Of course if that was true he would also be too old to cry about wanting a toy. Today’s comic is dedicated to Goz and his wife who are expecting their first offspring. We’ll be watching his/her career with great interest. Continue reading "My Life, the Sitcom"

Someday we’ll all play games this way. Movie Review: Freddy vs. Jason Let me just start out this review by saying THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN THIS YEAR. I realize Matrix Reloaded came out this year but it did not give me the enjoyment that Freddy vs. Jason did. Here are the top reasons I enjoyed the movie so much.
 1. What happened to all the slasher movies? Honestly, I can think of a good slasher movie that’s been released in the last 5 years. FvJ stayed true to the original formula of startling moments and ultraviolence. Even though the movie is really violent, it doesn’t fall into the trap of becoming overly gross. I was more digusted by some of the scenes in Jackass than this movie. Watching this movie makes me want to go back and rent some of the old ones because they don’t make them like this anymore.
 1. It had a good storyline. Ok, slasher movies aren’t known for their thought-provoking plots but FvJ came up with a plausible way for Freddy and Jason to fight each other.
 1. They fight each other! Fans of these old horror movies have been waiting for these two to duke it out for over a decade. Freddy and Jason get into a knockdown, dragout, no holds barred, use all your fighting cliches, battle that is better than I could have ever imagined.
So there you have it. If you liked any Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th movie, you must see this movie. I’m not saying Freddy vs. Jason is the greatest movie ever. I’m saying that noone could make a movie called “Freddy vs. Jason” that was better than what I saw Friday night. 5 stars! Continue reading "Plug In"

Raiders of the Lost Crap

Raiders of the Lost Crap
Yeah it’s Friday. Comic! Anyone aLIVE out there? The xbox live service it the quickest, easiest, way to play multiplayer games online. That being said, why am I not using it? I think its because I’d rather play against my friends than profanity spewing strangers. It’s not like right now I go down the street knocking on random doors looking for someone to play Unreal Championship, why would I do the same thing online? So now I’m asking if any of you are on xbox live and would like to play a game. Now that K-Dog is living off campus I’m trying to talk him into signing up. Microsoft is adding new features like the ability to see what games your friends are playing through the web. Let me know what you guys think. Continue reading "Raiders of the Lost Crap"
