Bitsmackers 3.0

Bitsmackers 3.0
3.0? Ok, maybe more like 2.1. After finally switching to the eMac for my main machine, Goz convinced me to switch to Flash for my comic. I mean, if it’s good enough for Joe & Benji or whatever those guys names are, it must be good enough for me. I am still getting the hang of it and it’s hard because I am such a perfectionist. I think these new characters kinda look like zombies and I completely forgot to give K-Dog glasses. The other advantage to switching to Flash is that eventually I’ll be able to do a Bitsmack cartoon. What do you guys think of the comic? Is it worse or better than before? Continue reading "Bitsmackers 3.0"

Bachelor Party

Bachelor Party
Whatever happens in Chicago should probably stay in Chicago. One of my friends from high school, JP, had his bachelor party over the weekend. There were four of us that spent two nights in Evanston, just north of Chicago. It was pretty wild. Now I’m going to bed since I have to work tomorrow. Continue reading "Bachelor Party"

Frustration XP

Frustration XP
Sit back and relax while you look at this comic. I don’t really hate Windows. Obviously it’s so popular it must be the best. But what I really hate is my computer. I’m ready to make the switch over to Apple, and not just because all the cool kids are doing it. Before my computer problems I was going to talk about the new prime time cartoon Game Over. I might go into it in detail on Monday but the short review is that it sucked. Unfortunely there are no other comedies on TV so it’ll probably be around for a few weeks. It’s like that old saying, “in the land of no comedy, the one joke show is king.” Now on the other hand, if the show gets better and I start to like it, it’ll get cancelled instantly. Just look at Andy Richter or Firefly. Continue reading "Frustration XP"

Recap

Recap
Like a ninja stalking you on your way home from the prom, comics are back! I finally got XP reinstalled on my machine and it is running so much better. The comics should be back to their regular schedule. With Brad and Will moving in in a couple months there should be plenty of Bitsmacker/Devryguyz hi-jinks. Personally hi is my favorite kind of jink. Continue reading "Recap"

Move-a-rama ’04

Move-a-rama ’04
Today’s comic is the last one I’m doing from this apartment. This Sunday marks the first day of Move-a-rama ‘04. Basically it’s an entire week of bribing my friends to come over and help me move. I don’t know when I’ll have comics up next week. If I’d ever get a guest comic I’d probably put it up. Continue reading "Move-a-rama ’04"

Make it a lackluster night

Make it a lackluster night
As you can tell by this comic, my boycott of Blockbuster has ended. “What boycott?” you may be asking. When I lived in Findlay I was a regular customer at Family Video because a new release was only $3 for a night and during the week I could get an older title for free. After moving to Columbus a year ago all I could find were Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. I went into Blockbuster to rent a movie and found that I couldn’t rent a movie for any less than three days and it was about $8. Why would I ever need a movie longer than a day? Do I really want to watch Men in Black 2 more than once? Because of this I haven’t rented a movie in the last year. But now, at least in the Columbus area I can rent a movie for one night for $3. Now I can finally catch up on all the movies I have missed. Btw, Lost in Translation is a little overrated and Jerry Seinfeld Comedian is very interesting. FFCC 101

FFCC 101
This comic is based on a conversation I had with Goz when I tried to convince him how cool Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is. Now I have the attention span of a bobblehead doll but I will still try an RPG if I find that the battle system is enjoyable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Goz play an RPG but he does have a valid reason. It’s hard to just pick up a game like FF and play for a few minutes and then walk away. First you have to remember what you were doing last, then you have to find a save spot when you want to quit. If you’ve never played an RPG before and want to give it a try I recommend the following titles:
 • Chrono Cross (PS1)
 • Paper Mario (N64)
 • Mario & Luigi (GBA)
 • Knights of the Old Republic (XBOX)
I think these are the best RPGs for newbies with Chrono Cross being my favorite RPG of all time. What do you guys think about RPGs? Continue reading "FFCC 101"

The Bitsmack Effect – Part 2

The Bitsmack Effect – Part 2
There you go, one week of comics. Inspiration Last weekend I got to see Brad from DevryGuyz beat Megaman X in 1 hour 30 min. Not only does he beat the game but he gets every single weapon, item and secret. It was amazing. So when I got home I looked for a game I could beat. I found Ducktales for the NES. The first couple times I played I died a lot, but now I can beat it on normal in 21 min. I’m not done yet though because I know of a couple of ways I can cutoff some time, and I did die twice. Is there any game you can beat over and over again? Post about it. Continue reading "The Bitsmack Effect – Part 2"
