Commencement

We’ve got a new corporate drone in the real world now. Resistance is pointless. It was a busy weekend. Friday night was the Tiger release and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was an excellent movie, I’ll put my full review in the podcast Thursday. Saturday we had K-Dog’s graduation, and then last night was the triumphant and hilarious return of Family Guy. I installed Tiger last night and decided to erase my hard drive and start over. I had a bunch of apps I wanted to get rid of because they were taking up space (Virtual PC). Dashboard is pretty cool and I can’t wait to see what widgets people come up with. The only problem I am having since the install is that my mouse pointer doesn’t seem as smooth as it used to be. I installed the Microsoft drivers for my wireless intellimouse, and turned the speed all the way up but it still doesn’t feel right. If anyone has any ideas let me know. What has Brown done to you?

Today’s comic should explain why I STILL haven’t played The Wind Waker. If the Bitsmack humor leaves you unfulfilled you really have to check out this site. Also, I’ve been doing some research into the PC game Doom. Doom and Doom II were originally DOS games. According to Gamestop, their version for Doom II requires Windows to run. So it’s possible there are two versions of Doom II, a Windows and a DOS. I haven’t found any Windows version of Doom I so I left it in the DOS catagory. If anyone has further information on this let me know. Continue reading "What has Brown done to you?"

Kruton has a PhD in DDR.

As mentioned in today’s comic kruton won the DDR tournament last weekend. It was a close match between him and BIL, the guy who beat my high score on basic double. He’s a cool guy though and I’m glad he got second. I have to say this was the closest tournament I’ve ever seen. There were about 4 or 5 rounds where a person won by only a few perfects. All in all it was a good time and I think its going to become a monthly event in Findlay. I’ve also been playing a lot of MotoGP on Xbox Live and I have to say I’m impressed with how easy it is to get into a game. I’ve met a lot of cool people online to play against. The game itself it somewhat difficult and it takes awhile to get use to controlling a motorcycle. My Project Gotham skills didn’t transfer over to this game.
