Commencement

We’ve got a new corporate drone in the real world now. Resistance is pointless. It was a busy weekend. Friday night was the Tiger release and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was an excellent movie, I’ll put my full review in the podcast Thursday. Saturday we had K-Dog’s graduation, and then last night was the triumphant and hilarious return of Family Guy. I installed Tiger last night and decided to erase my hard drive and start over. I had a bunch of apps I wanted to get rid of because they were taking up space (Virtual PC). Dashboard is pretty cool and I can’t wait to see what widgets people come up with. The only problem I am having since the install is that my mouse pointer doesn’t seem as smooth as it used to be. I installed the Microsoft drivers for my wireless intellimouse, and turned the speed all the way up but it still doesn’t feel right. If anyone has any ideas let me know. The Game

The similarities are astounding. After the problem with WoW Tuesday I must not have got logged out the server properly because it wouldn’t let me log back in with that character. So I started playing my Undead Mage on Skullcrusher. It was a nice change of pace and playing the Horde side I get to do quests I haven’t done before. Also did anyone see Lost last night? Wow that show just keeps getting better. Update: Maybe I should specify that for me to get a Mac Mini you have to follow the link, sign up and then complete one of the offers listed. Just signing up doesn’t count. I hope this clears up any confusion. I also took down the iPod Shuffle link. I’m not greedy, if I got a Mac Mini that would be awesome enough. My Favorite Games

Here’s your present: the biggest Bitsmack comic yet! It seems like Christmas has came out of nowhere, punched me in the gut and ran away. I have a couple more presents to wrap and I’m looking forward to exchanging gifts with my friends and family. Thursday I have to “work” until noon and then we have the company Christmas party. I hope I don’t get snowed in and forced to stay home. Hmmm… I don’t think my sarcasm was obvious enough in that last sentance. Oh well, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! That last one wasn’t sarcastic, just in case you were confused from before. Continue reading "My Favorite Games"

Current Mood: Happy

I decided to put up a special Saturday comic to celebrate my return. Let me explain. When I quit doing the comic I was feeling uninspired and I wanted more time to work on other projects and play more video games. Then I got sucked into the soul crushing Livejournal. Basically it is a way to complain about your day and read about your friends complaining about their days. I don’t play video games any more than I used to and I haven’t worked on any other projects. So I decided it was time to bring back the comic. Enough people told me they didn’t care about a new layout or any new features, they just want the comics. I’m all about giving the people what they want so the comic is back on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. I hope to get the characters page updated this weekend and you can still post video games reviews just like old times. Continue reading "Current Mood: Happy"

Relative Goodness

Goz and I went and saw Hellboy over the weekend. It wasn’t incredible, but it didn’t really suck. After my comic on Friday, I decided to pick up Culdcept for the PS2. It is more like Monopoly than I expected. The games are pretty even until someone lands on a big money space, then it’s real hard to come back. My favorite feature is that even if you lose a game you still get new cards for your deck which will help when you take on the opponent again. Over the weekend I also updated the ads on Bitsmack. The first is Maveric PC which builds gaming PCs. The second is PlayAsia, which is one of the best import video game sites I’ve found. I’ve also added Google Adwords to the left column. It displays links that should be of interest to gamers. Bitsmack has been providing a fun place for gamers to hang out for almost two years now and by checking out these sponsors you can help keep it going. Continue reading "Relative Goodness"
