FFCC 101

This comic is based on a conversation I had with Goz when I tried to convince him how cool Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is. Now I have the attention span of a bobblehead doll but I will still try an RPG if I find that the battle system is enjoyable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Goz play an RPG but he does have a valid reason. It’s hard to just pick up a game like FF and play for a few minutes and then walk away. First you have to remember what you were doing last, then you have to find a save spot when you want to quit. If you’ve never played an RPG before and want to give it a try I recommend the following titles:
 • Chrono Cross (PS1)
 • Paper Mario (N64)
 • Mario & Luigi (GBA)
 • Knights of the Old Republic (XBOX)
I think these are the best RPGs for newbies with Chrono Cross being my favorite RPG of all time. What do you guys think about RPGs? Continue reading "FFCC 101"

4: Mission

Move Action Wait Today’s Comic So I picked up Final Fantasy Tactics Advance just so I wouldn’t feel left out when everyone is linking up with this game. I haven’t “linked up” in quite a while. Really this is only the second game I’ve bought since I joined Gamefly a couple months ago. I’m disappointed that FFTA doesn’t have Auto Battle and Fitting Room like the original. Basically I just want a game that will play by itself. Maybe I need to borrow Xenosaga from K-Dog. The First Adventure – Part 8

Our first adventure has finally come to an end. I could have made the story go on for weeks but I arrived at the point where even I don’t know what I’m talking about. I had some problems connecting to XBOX Live last night. Since it is just a beta test I can’t expect perfection, however it did set back the “convince kruton to buy an XBOX” revolution by months. Instead I just played Chrono Trigger and worked on comics. I recently bought the Microsoft Strategic Commander. It is a game device designed to fit in the left hand and make keyboard shortcuts for RTS games easier. I tried it out with Unreal Tournament, but it just doesn’t work well for FPSs. Although it does work really well with Paint Shop Pro. Tonight kruton, Goz and I are heading to Easton for the unveiling of Apple OS 10.2. I expect to see the usual mix of the rich and the hippie. I know OS releases are notorious for ensueing “Animal House” style parties, but I am more excited about going to GameWorks and playing a little DDR. Continue reading "The First Adventure – Part 8"
