Make it a lackluster night

As you can tell by this comic, my boycott of Blockbuster has ended. “What boycott?” you may be asking. When I lived in Findlay I was a regular customer at Family Video because a new release was only $3 for a night and during the week I could get an older title for free. After moving to Columbus a year ago all I could find were Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. I went into Blockbuster to rent a movie and found that I couldn’t rent a movie for any less than three days and it was about $8. Why would I ever need a movie longer than a day? Do I really want to watch Men in Black 2 more than once? Because of this I haven’t rented a movie in the last year. But now, at least in the Columbus area I can rent a movie for one night for $3. Now I can finally catch up on all the movies I have missed. Btw, Lost in Translation is a little overrated and Jerry Seinfeld Comedian is very interesting. Anime Night

Today’s comic features the long overdue debut of the UF Bitsmacker April! Anime Night last Friday was a complete success. That is to say, if the success of an anime night is measured by whether people watch anime, then this night was successful. This time the theme was “non-giant robot” anime. We watched FLCL, Excel Saga, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop The Movie. After that we watched some Family Guy. If you’re not familar with Bawls, it is a caffeine drink that was founded by a group of 6th graders. It’s nearly impossible to mention its name without spawning 10-20 minutes of jokes about the name. Tastes good though. Continue reading "Anime Night"

Guest Comic – April

Today’s comic was done by Artzydivahuf. Now I normally don’t sleep very soundly but I obviously overslept by a couple months because I looked out the window this morning and what do I see? SNOW! Looking at all the snow made me think of what Hell must look like ever since I bought a Gamecube. So yesterday I finally got Guitar Freaks/Drummania for PS2. Upon picking it up at the post office I immedately raised the game into the air and proclaimed “by the power of Greyskull, I HAVE THE POWER!” However, my drum pads still haven’t came yet and it’s just not the same playing it with the controller. The countdown is on, 2 weeks until graduation. Continue reading "Guest Comic – April"
