Clerks 2: Give Me Money

RC's Rants

Over the weekend Kevin Smith announced that he would begin working on a sequel to his 1994 film Clerks. I am hoping that the proposed title “The Passion of the Clerks” is a joke. I am half-hoping the entire story is a joke. If you watch An Evening With Kevin Smith he specifically states that [...]

HP announces… iPods?

General News

Rather than releasing an inferior mp3 player, HP is repackaging Apple’s iPod and selling it. The cool thing is they also give you printable stickers that wrap around the iPod to protect and personalize it.
Anyone else think it’s odd to see two computer companies working together like this?

Not A Batman, THE Batman

General News

Over at the WB you can check out a preview of the new Batman cartoon. I can’t really tell a lot from the preview except that Bruce Wayne looks younger and the animation style looks pretty freaky. It’s starting September 11 on WB.

What Lungfluke Is Playing

General News

I don’t seem to be important enough to merit a “What lungfluke is playing” sidebar on this site, but, that’s OK, as my list would be updated even less frequently than Gozar’s, if that’s possible. (Civilization since 1993, Master of Orion since 1996, and Zelda Ocarina of Time since 2001). But, in case [...]

Garden State Review

RC's Rants

Friday night a group of us went out and saw the movie Garden State, starring Zach Braff and Natalie Portman. It was a really good movie. It’s not a comedy like Anchorman or Old School with jokes every minute. Instead the laughs come from more belivable characters and situations. I highly recommend this movie to [...]

It’s been a long time Bitsmack

K-Dog's Raves

Hi everybody.

I’ve been gone a long time but I’m going to make a semi-return today. I’ve been doing a lot of work lately and it makes me scarcely at a computer when I get off work.
Things I want to do:

The fate of Bitsmack has not been determined yet. It’s turning as into [...]

Dell Axim X30 - The First Week

RC's Rants

I haven’t had a working PDA for a couple of years now, the last one I had was the original Handspring Visor. This time I decided to get a Dell Axim X30 for work reasons. Who am I kidding, I got it for games and wireless internet. Anyway, the first week of working with this [...]

Gameriot at the Ohio State Fair

Goz's Corner

If you are planning to attend the Ohio State Fair you might want to check out Spike TV’s Gameriot.
For $5 for 50 minutes or $15 for the whole day, you can compete in games such as Tony Hawk’s Underground or Halo, plus play unreleased games such as Star Wars Battlefront. It’s not all Xbox [...]

I Have an Opinion!

RC's Rants

Doom 3 was released this week and while I haven’t played it yet I can’t help wondering where my expectations should lie. A game or movie is only successful if it can meet expectations. If a game comes in under the radar and plays well it can become a sleeper hit. Whereas, if a game [...]

The Ones We Don’t Speak Of

RC's Rants

Over the weekend I went to Buffalo, NY to visit Megan. We went and saw The Village Saturday afternoon. This is my favorite M. Night Shyamalan movie yet. It wasn’t really as scary as we expected but if you liked The Sixth Sense and Signs you’ll probably like this one. I can’t really say anything [...]
