Make sure the NES is well-ventilated. Keep the cover closed while not inserting a game to prevent dust from entering the console/game. Clean games/system periodically. Store games in a temperate, dry area free of dust. Use the jiggle or double cart methods on those tricky games. Play it often. It’s all about care and upkeep. Make sure the NES is well-ventilated.
